This film by noho shows the ideas and planning behind the creation of the Arkwright Experience at Cromford Mills. In October 2016, we were shortlisted for Best Heritage Rescue as part of the prestigious Historic England “Angel Awards”. This was the video made to showpiece the amazing work done to transform both a disused “at risk” mill building and to modernise the Arkwright Society itself.
See Ella Vale as she races through seasons, spaces, places and views During 2010 artists Matt and Rob Vale were commissioned to create a new video artwork, celebrating the beauty, history and variety of the Derwent Valley Mills World Heritage Site. The piece follows a curious figure (Ella Vale) as she races through seasons, spaces, places and views along this fascinating and historic valley. Featuring music and words specially created for the artwork, this is a captivating and uplifting exploration of one of Derbyshire's most remarkable sites.
