We are raising money for a new film in the Arkwright Experience to bring more of the history of this amazing valley to life!

We have applied to the AIM Biffa Award – History Makers programme for over £60,000 to create a new film show and need to raise £5000 ourselves if we are successful with our application.

Thank you to everyone who has generously donated towards this project. We have reached our fundraising target of £5000 to support the application to fund the new film show. We will update you as soon as we can regarding the success of our application to the AIM Biffa Award. We would not have got this far without the incredible support of all those who have donated, and for this we are incredibly grateful.

The Arkwright Experience has been a huge success, but we have so many more stories we want to tell and our visitors have given us lots of feedback on what they would like us to include in the new show.  The new film will introduce the audience to Arkwright’s partner and neighbour, Jedidiah Strutt, and will highlight the coming together of these two innovative individuals, alongside the mill workers who will tell their version of the story.  The new film will be a great addition to the visitor experience at Cromford Mills and encourage everyone to explore the wider Derwent Valley.

Please note - The donated sum may be used for a third-party contribution for this project and go straight to a landfill operator to secure the Landfill Communities Fund for the Arkwright Society. This contribution is not eligible for Gift Aid.
