Thursday Art Workshops
To celebrate Hetain Patel’s art installation in the yard, we have got four fantastic art workshops lined up across August. No need to book, just turn up – you’ll find us in the mill yard.
4th August 11-3 – Peg brooches with Weaveknitit’s Sarah Wheatley
Come along and turn fabric scraps into a beautiful brooch using the historic art of pegging. Sarah will also be giving visitors the chance to have a go on her spinning wheel.

11th August 11-3 – Yarn portraits with Hana Fredericks
Create beautiful self-portraits out of recycled yarn with Nottingham artist Hana Fredericks.

18th August 11-3 – Shibori Dye a T-shirt with Mary Macdonald
Choose your favourite colours and dye a t shirt in the Shibori style with The Old Loom Shop’s Mary Macdonald.

25th August 11-3 Printing Colours and Shapes
Join the learning team to fashion yourself some fabulous, patterned paper clothes as we print with blocks and toys. Wear clothes you don’t mind getting messy!
