We have an exciting opportunity at the Arkwright Society for a dynamic Fundraising
Manager, ready to hit the ground running in shaping our fundraising offer for the charity.
About us: established in 1971, the Arkwright Society charity is dedicated to safeguarding
and celebrating the industrial legacy of Cromford Mills. Nestled within the Derwent Valley
Mills World Heritage Site, Cromford Mills is of international significance, resonating globally
as a testament to innovation. We have an active staff and volunteer team, who support our
vibrant events programme, our educational and conservation activities, two cafes and our
business and retail tenancy offer.
Your role: as our fundraising manager and part of our senior management, you will lead
our fundraising programme, steering campaigns, nurturing memberships, donations,
legacies and fostering key sponsorships. Your expertise will be instrumental in driving the
pivotal decisions guiding the future of our iconic buildings, including Arkwright's first mill.

ideally within heritage or broader charitable sectors. Your exceptional communication,
relationship building skills, and strategic thinking will directly support the sustainability and
growth of our charity.
