Although the Government relaxed restrictions on Monday 19 July we will be maintaining many of our safety measures at Cromford Mills.
Like many other visitor attractions and multi-use sites, we have spent the past year taking great care to protect everyone here. We feel it is important to continue our current approach to safeguard everyone who uses the mill and will be keeping many of the social distancing and other mitigation measures in place for the time being. This is in line with other visitor and heritage organisations and follows advice from the Association of Leading Visitor Attractions.
A recent study into the feelings of visitors to attractions indicates a large majority (75%) do not feel ready for the relaxation of social distancing and other protective measures (Association of Leading Visitor Attractions, Decision House, 30 June 2021). As important as it is for us to get back to full capacity and generate income over the summer months, we must put the safety and comfort of our visitors, staff and volunteers first. For this reason, we are continuing with our cautions approach and dedication towards creating a safe and relaxed environment for you to enjoy on your day out.

Thank you for your support towards Cromford Mills over the last year – we wouldn’t have got this far without it!
