The Gateway Visitor Centre shop provides a range of quality gifts and souvenirs celebrating the Derwent Valley Mills World Heritage Site

In the Mill Shop we have a wide range of souvenirs and gifts to suit all ages. From pocket money toys, activity kits, to scarves, prints, mugs and handmade chocolates

The Gallery at Cromford Mills plays host to different artists and exhibitions throughout the year including exhibitions of paintings, photographs, ceramics, and textiles.

Arkwright’s Attic is run entirely by volunteers and is part of the Society's recycling initiative, providing visitors with the opportunity to purchase glass, tableware and bric-a-brac.

Art, Antiques and Collectables.

With 50 + cabinets our dealers offer a wide range of Antiques and Collectables, including 18th/19th Century Pottery and Porcelain, Saltglaze Stoneware, Silver, Quality Jewellery Antique and Modern, Metalware, Glass, Collectables and quality Oil Paintings and Prints.

Heritage Antiques is a small friendly antiques centre situated in building 15. We have a wide and interesting range of antiques and collectables to suit all tastes and pockets.

Silver Tree Gallery is a bright and airy independent art gallery, recently opened in Cromford, Derbyshire.

Located on Mill Lane, opposite the historic World Heritage Site of Richard Arkwright’s Cromford Mill, the gallery offers for sale a wide selection of original artworks, including oil and watercolour paintings, mixed media, sculptures, ceramics and textiles.

The Old Lock Up Studio is in the beautiful and historic Derbyshire village of Cromford. The building itself is steeped in history. Previously owned by Sir Richard Arkwright in the 1700’s when he used the building as the village gaol, the Lock Up remains part of the Cromford Mills estate.


Quiltessential is an independent textile craft shop, which was established at Cromford Mill over 10 years ago. We specialise in Patchwork and Quilting and stock an extensive range of quality cotton fabrics from leading manufacturers as well as wadding/batting, notions and sewing equipment.

The Hartington Cheese Co. occupy the Wharf Building on the banks of the canal (opposite the mill).
