Georgian Inventions Trail
Home » QR Trail Stop 9
The first working steam train was built by Richard Trevithick in 1804. It averaged less than 10mph.
This is part of the Cromford Mills ‘Inventions’ trail for families. To find out more, go to https://www.cromfordmills.org.uk/event/may-half-term-families-at-the-mill/
There are 10 trail locations, stretching from the top of Church Walk by the A6, to just past the first bridge on the canal.
To collect your prize, rearrange the letters on the posters into something that was invented by Sir Richard Arkwright, and tell the mill shop!
