We have an exciting FREE opportunity to take part in trialling our brand-new education days at Cromford Mills.
The days are aimed at Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2 and are either fully led or have a mixture of led and self-led activities. They cover a range of topics, from engineering to creative writing.
The led activities will be planned, led and resourced by experienced expert guides from Cromford Mills. The self-led activities are designed to be led by visiting school staff and are fully planned and resourced. They will come with detailed guidance on how to carry out the activity. The activity guidance along with a detailed programme outlining the plan of the day will be made available to you in advance and on the day of your visit.
Whichever day you would like to take part in we would welcome a pre-visit on site at Cromford Mills to discuss the activities and any specific needs you may have for your class etc.
The days will be available between 17th June and 30th September 2021 and will be offered on a first come first served basis.
We will also give you a £100 bursary to go towards the cost of a coach, if needed.
To be eligible for the offer you need to:
- Bring one class of around 30 pupils on a visit to Cromford Mills. Entry, resources and leading on the day will be provided free of charge.
- Agree to provide The Arkwright Society with signed photo permission forms for at least 5 children attending on the day and give them in on the visit day. This is to enable future publicity and marketing of our schools offer.
- Agree to complete evaluation feedback forms from the adults and teaching assistants accompanying the trip, and collate some verbal comments from the children.
Please see the attached flyer for details of the new days and email firstname.lastname@example.org to book your place.
