As part of the Derbyshire Makes, Join our resident artists in the school room at Cromford Mills to help them create a huge banner which will be part of the festival weekend  – get hands on with arts and crafts including…

• wool wet felting
• painting
• mosaics
• leatherwork, embroidery, textiles.

Meet the following artists and have a taster of their skills Mary Macdonald – textile, wet felting with wool. Jenny McKenzie – Acrylic painting with texture. Jo Spencer – mosaic with local materials. Helen Jones – leatherwork and embroidery and textile collage.

No need to book, just turn up. Running each day 11am-3pm

Derbyshire Makes is a new programme of cultural events across the county – including projects produced by local communities and commissions from Derbyshire artists. It launches with the free Derbyshire Makes Festival, an annual event taking place across six distinct local Hubs.
