Professor Paula Holt MBE DL
As a registered nurse Paula has worked within the NHS, served in the British armed forces (home, overseas and on operations), and led mental health services in the criminal justice system. Her career in higher education culminated as Pro Vice Chancellor and Dean of Health, Psychology and Social Care at the University of Derby.
She is Patron of ‘Stand to’, Derbyshire Alcohol Advisory service, a board trustee of the Council of Deans of Health, Derbyshire County president of the Royal British Legion and chair of Derbyshire armed forces covenant partnership. Paula currently works for the professional regulator – the Nursing and Midwifery Council, as a senior adviser, and is a patient and public partner voice within Derbyshire’s integrated care system.
