Lee is married with two grown up daughters and one increasingly grown up son. He lives in Duffield with his wife, Deborah. He is interested in how we can ensure the amazing community asset and heritage site Cromford Mills can be utilized and preserved.
Lee worked in a senior NHS finance roles for 33 years, he started his first Director of Finance role at Derby Hospitals in 2008, his last the Integrated Care Board Chief Finance Officer for South Yorkshire to June 2026.
President of the Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA) in 2025 and continues as a HFMA Trustee.
Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy (CIPFA) qualified, former CIPFA Council member and Chair of CIPFAs Public Policy and Reform Faculty Board.
Lee set up Harry Berrisford Advisory Services (HBAS) Ltd in July 2026. HBAS offers consulting, coaching and research services, in health, education and public policy.
In 2024 completed and published a Professional Doctorate on the NHS internal market: Why bad policy persists.
